Process:
Our clients value a structured, considered process and a clear understanding of how their project will progress over time. We follow a defined sequence of work aligned with the RIBA Plan of Work, adapted to the specific requirements of bespoke residential, heritage and estate projects. This approach ensures clarity, reduces risk, and maintains design quality from start to finish.
We begin by establishing a clear and shared understanding of the project before any design work takes place. This stage is about listening carefully, asking the right questions and building a full picture of how you want to live, what your aspirations are, and the practical parameters that will shape the project. A strong brief provides the foundation for every decision that follows and allows the design to develop with confidence and clarity.

Once the brief is established, we begin exploring how your project might take shape. This stage is deliberately iterative, allowing ideas to be tested, refined and developed in response to the site, orientation, landscape and lifestyle requirements. It is often where clients begin to see the potential of their project clearly for the first time, and where key design direction is agreed.

We manage the planning and approvals process on your behalf, ensuring you remain informed and supported throughout. Our role is to anticipate requirements early, coordinate specialist input and present a considered and well-supported submission. We maintain close dialogue with the relevant authorities to reduce uncertainty and keep the process moving efficiently.

At this stage, the design is developed in full detail so that every aspect of the project is properly resolved before construction begins. Architecture, interiors and technical design are carefully coordinated to ensure consistency of intent and quality of outcome. This stage also provides the information required for pricing and procurement, reducing risk later in the process.

Interiors

- Coordinate bespoke joinery, kitchens and bathrooms
- Review samples and integrate interior design intent
During construction, we remain closely involved to ensure the design is accurately delivered on site. We act as the client’s representative, monitoring progress, resolving queries and maintaining design integrity throughout the build. Regular site visits and communication with the contractor help ensure the project is delivered as intended.

- Issue contract instructions and respond to site queries
As construction comes to an end, we support the transition into occupation, ensuring the home is completed to the expected standard and all outstanding matters are properly resolved. This stage provides reassurance that the project has been delivered as intended and is ready for use.
- Inspect completed works and manage outstanding items
- Support resolution of defects during the rectification period
- Assist with final handover documentation
Our involvement does not necessarily end at completion. We remain available to support clients as they settle into their home and begin to understand how it performs in use. This may include guidance on maintenance, materials or building systems, ensuring the long-term quality of the project is maintained.
